Inspire Kids to Learn More

We have all been learners in a classroom at some time in our life.  What classroom stands out to you? For me, the class that stands out to me the most are those classes that the teacher not only knew my name but knew something about me.  Looking back I would go as far to say as they knew something I was passionate about.

When we look at student engagement we know that students that are engaged can describe to you what they are learning.  Some high forms of engagement involve creating and building. As teachers we are tasked with building engaging lessons for our students.  I love this quote by Eric Jensen, “Strong teaching connects learning in ways that inspire kids to learn more and strive for greatness.”

How do we inspire kids to learn more?
